Z and I decided to explore the other side of the bay bridge a couple of weekends ago while the weather was warm and sunny. I had never seen the UC Berkeley campus before, so I asked Z to be my tour guide to show me the sights of this cute little college area. We walked through the campus and right away the early 20th century architecture of the buildings took my breath away. I wish I had the chance as an undergrad to attend a lecture in one of these beautifully constructed halls. There were so many squirrels scurrying around...one even decided to photo bomb the photo I took of Z! After wandering around campus for a while, we went to MARS vintage and I found the cutest 60's shift dress with a white peter pan collar and ruffle detail. I promise to take pictures of the dress soon after I alter the hem! After vintage shopping for me, we went to Amoeba records and spent the remaining afternoon perusing records and trying to decide what we wanted to add to our vinyl collection. Coffee, vinyl, and vintage...kind of cliché but definitely a nice way to end the weekend.

Instagram Diary // Solvang & Ostrich Land Edition

Last weekend I went home to drop off Pig dog at my family's home so that he could stay with them while Z and I go to the east coast for summer vacation.  I spent some good quality time with my sister: took ridiculous photos, laughed about stupid things, and shopped.  On Sunday, we decided to visit Solvang, a small danish tourist trap outside of Buelton, CA.  My sister and I have been to Solvang many times before when we were younger because we grew up on the Airforce base near-by. We always thought it was completely random that such a place existed in Central California, but now I am so happy that it does. We enjoyed bratwurst, sauerkraut, and other danish delights in the area.  After rekindling our love affair with Solvang, we decided to visit Ostrich Land. For $5, visitors gain admittance and are able to feed ostriches and emu's. Here are some photos that my sister and I took over the weekend:
