Pug Walk

One of the main reasons we picked the apartment that we currently reside in is its close proximity to a park and then a larger unleashed  dog park hill for hiking. Even though Finnegan cannot walk as much as he used to as a young pup, he still loves romping around in the grass while bugging couples who are quietly reading a book or picnicking.  (This can be quite embarrassing at times because Finnegan is such a ham for attention and petting.) A new cafe just opened up next to the park so the park is a nice, less crowded alternative to Dolores Park for people and dog watching. Here are some photos that I took of what can be seen in our neighborhood. Hope you all are having a great week thus far!

Bernal Hill

Bernal Heights is the neighborhood that Z and I call home.  There is a huge unleashed dog park called Bernal Heights Hill and from the top you can see the whole city-scape and bay. It's quite beautiful and makes for a great place to view the 4th of July fireworks from. We also live near Precita Park which is a nice bonus because it is never as crowded as Dolores Park would be. Living here on the hill has been fun, but I'm ready to explore different neighborhoods in the City. It's a bit of a challenge to find a place that is at a reasonable price that will except a morbidly obese pug as a co-tenant, but I am sure that we will eventually find something. Below are some past photos of Z and I walking around our little hood:
The end of the month is usually the time when you see random items on the sidewalk.

I've been experimenting more with pinning my bangs up or to the side. I am toying with the idea of growing them out so that I can get them re-shaped/trimmed properly, but every time they reach my temples I get the urge to grab some scissors and cut them again. It's hard not to do so, but I guess I am going to have to work on my will power. Julie from Orchid Grey's post about growing out your bangs definitely inspired and encouraged me keep going, so I'll see how it goes this summer.
