Exploring the City

On a rare sunny day here in San Francisco, Z and I went to the Treasure Island flea. I bought some vintage rings and another long floral dress with a lace collar that I will have to photograph and post later. After the flea, Z and I went to eat lunch and walked around the city. Even though it is not sunny here all the time, people in the city make the most out of it. The parks, cafes, and streets will be filled with people out enjoying the rays while they can before the fog starts to roll in again.

Outfit Details: Oatmeal Cropped Sweater (Thrifted), Vintage Polka Dot Long Dress (Thrifted), "There is Thunder in Our Hearts" Blush Dip-dye Tote (Fieldguided), Black Woven flats (Painted Bird)

Summertime BBQ's

Summertime = Family, BBQ, and alcohol.

Virginia Beach

During the last couple days of our vacation in Virginia, the family went to Virginia Beach for some relaxing fun in the sun. However on the one day that we had planned for the beach, the sun actually never came out and it was overcast and humid instead. The boardwalk was almost empty since the winds were picking up as the day went on, but it was nice to walk around with my Grandpa along the beach. After walking for what seemed like 2 miles or so, (Grandpa is amazing and can probably keep walking on forever and ever without breaking a sweat) we stopped and got a banana split on the way back to the hotel. Grandpa goes bananas for banana splits.

The plane ride home went faster than the flight there and the next thing I knew I was back in California.  Vacations are way too short.

Colonial Williamsburg

During my visit to Virginia, my family stopped by Colonial Willamsburg. I was in awe of the beautiful buildings and the lush green surroundings. After taking a little tour of the town, my family and I headed to the local wine & cheese shop for a light lunch and to keep dry from the sudden down pour of rain. I wish we could have stayed longer to explore.

Venturing Virginia

I visited some family over in Virginia 2 weeks ago for my cousin's graduation. My mom, grandpa, and I visited family over in the Virginia Beach and Williamsburg area. The plane ride there was quite the experience since my Mom had not been on a plane since we lived in Oahu, Hawaii (about 10 years ago). She would mutter filipino curse words when there was turbulence, when we were delayed and had a longer layover, and when she had to use the plane restroom since she's claustrophobic. I "oohed" and "ahhed" over the trees that seemed to line everything on the streets and freeways. The high humidity left me feeling like I was stuck in a bathroom while someone took a steamy shower. No matter where I went, there was the over-abundance of 7-11's on every corner. The first part of my trip consisted of family BBQ's, Ryan's graduation, eating at Cracker Barrel and clogging up my arteries, and typical Filipino things (that also clog up your arteries) of eating, eating, eating, planning what you're going to eat next, gossiping, and then eating. Scary? Yes. Also...every meal was eaten in-front of the lovely Last Supper Portrait. Scary. Here's part 1:
