Hiking Through Marin Highlands

Z and I are starting to explore the different hiking trails around the Bay Area. I thought it would be good to get out and enjoy some fresh air...and have Finnegan walk about. For this trip, we decided to check out the trails in Marin County at Rodeo Beach. This trail was absolutely breath taking since it wrapped around the cliffs and provided a sea-side view. The trail itself was relatively flat and easy to walk...this is especially important when you are dragging a morbidly obese pug with you. (Although next time we might have to bring a wagon or backpack to carry him along when he refuses to walk anymore.)  Finnegan made it through the hike, but at a very slow pace...I guess I couldn't ask for much more than it.
The start of the hike. Finnegan is still pretty excited.
CAUTION! Hazardous Spliff.

After the hike, we decided to have a picnic on the beach. More photos to come in the next post!

Audrey Grace Boutique

More dresses?  Yes, please! Audrey Grace, a Mississippi based boutique just launched online this week featuring tons of uber-feminine gems that are definitely worth checking out. Inspired by such style icons as Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly, the boutique features pieces from Erin Fetherston, Rachel Antonoff, Lauren Moffatt, TBA, and many more. Also available are hand-selected vintage items and one-of-a-kind artwork. Below are some of my favorite photos from the look book starring one of my favorite bloggers, Erin from CaliVintage. So dreamy!

Dear Creatures Summer 2012

I am absolutely smitten with Dear Creatures Summer 2012 look book. I can instantly imagine myself on vacation somewhere (it doesn't even matter at this point because anything without the San Francisco fog and wind would be fantastic) frolicking around in these beautiful dresses. I would love to have the Lilly, Sweet Valley, and Avila dresses hanging up in my closet right now because they would also transition wonderfully into fall with some strategic layering. Check out some pictures from their look book below:

Polka Dots and Gingham

Polka dots and gingham prints seem to have invaded my closet lately. I noticed the other night that the majority of my dresses are now a variation on the polka dot theme with gingham coming up close.  I finally saved up enough money to purchase some Rachel Comey Mars boots and I am so glad that I purchased them. They are one of the most comfortable boots that I've ever owned and they go with just about any outfit imaginable. I thought that I would be stumbling and wobbling around the city's hills, but I've been managing just fine.
Outfit Details:
Ginger Coat // AA
Polka Dot Drop waist Dress // Forever 21
Gingham Print Bag // UO
Rachel Comey Mars Boots

Amazingly, this outfit is one of the few that I've worn that has not consisted of at least one thrifted/vintage item. Whoa. Well, I better get back to making dinner so that there's something to eat by the time Z gets home from work.  Cheers! Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Sunday Bike Rides

Sundays are the best days to hop on your bike and ride around the city...especially when the weather is warm and there are tons of people out and about trying to make the most of their last day before the work week. Z and I went for a bike ride through the Mission, where we live, and then ended up at Precita Park. We laid out a blanket and read for awhile underneath the shade of some trees lining the perimeter of the park. I am in love with my hunter green bike for it is much lighter, faster, and more comfortable than my previous town bike.
If anyone wants to start a bike gang, let me know.
