Rodeo Beach Bunnies

Before driving to Rodeo Beach, Z and I stopped to pick up some tortas y sopa from El Metatate. Finnegan managed to scrap up enough energy to chase a couple of waves before he plopped down onto the sand and passed out for the remainder of the day. 

I really enjoyed this beach because it was not as crowded as the other ones around the City. I want to come back again soon to fully explore all the trails.  I am sitting here typing out this entry, shivering in my blanket, and missing the warmth of the sun. All that I can see outside my window right now is dense fog. I hope it warms up again soon!

Hiking Through Marin Highlands

Z and I are starting to explore the different hiking trails around the Bay Area. I thought it would be good to get out and enjoy some fresh air...and have Finnegan walk about. For this trip, we decided to check out the trails in Marin County at Rodeo Beach. This trail was absolutely breath taking since it wrapped around the cliffs and provided a sea-side view. The trail itself was relatively flat and easy to walk...this is especially important when you are dragging a morbidly obese pug with you. (Although next time we might have to bring a wagon or backpack to carry him along when he refuses to walk anymore.)  Finnegan made it through the hike, but at a very slow pace...I guess I couldn't ask for much more than it.

Dear Creatures Summer 2012

I am absolutely smitten with Dear Creatures Summer 2012 look book. I can instantly imagine myself on vacation somewhere (it doesn't even matter at this point because anything without the San Francisco fog and wind would be fantastic) frolicking around in these beautiful dresses. I would love to have the Lilly, Sweet Valley, and Avila dresses hanging up in my closet right now because they would also transition wonderfully into fall with some strategic layering. Polka Dots and Gingham

Polka dots and gingham prints seem to have invaded my closet lately. I noticed the other night that the majority of my dresses are now a variation on the polka dot theme with gingham coming up close.  I finally saved up enough money to purchase some Rachel Comey Mars boots and I am so glad that I purchased them. They are one of the most comfortable boots that I've ever owned and they go with just about any outfit imaginable. I thought that I would be stumbling and wobbling around the city's hills, but I've been managing just fine.
